Circles and squares

I've been very busy of late, cutting and pinning with the odd bit of sewing thrown in for good measure!

I've sewn all the circles on to the squares and now I'm just taking my time with the design. I normally lay it out in a pattern take a photo, stand back and admite or jiggle it about a bit and then start again from scratch the next day until I'm happy. I have to be happy!

Here's what it looks like so far…

…and then there's my little pile of squares for my puffball, all ready and just crying out to be pinned!

Unfortunately the ironing needs doing first! Boo to housework, and today is my full day in school so looks like my little pile of fabric will remain just that for a few days

Hope you have fun sewing.

Lovely parcels in the post!

So yesterday I received my backing fabric for my puffball rainbow and my single quilt. I am really pleased,  they both look fab and I can't wait to finish of the quilts…

…but they are going to have to wait for today though as I'm currently stitching my circles!

I'm seeing spots!

So you know how I say I'm going to do something and then get sidetracked… well, kind of happened again, I say kind of, what I mean is it did happen again.

After going out for a run this morning I felt inspired to cut a quilt made of circles – a moment of inspiration or perhaps lack of oxygen after trying to sprint the last 250m who knows – but instead of cutting my baby boy puffball as I said I would I decided to cut out rainbow circles…

I felt like I had landed on a twister board but I really like where this quilt is going, although they are just thrown on the floor at the minute – piecing it together will take me hours as ever!

Rain and Sun…

…the perfect weather for…

…a rainbow!

I've finished the top of my rainbow quilt today and ordered the backing fabric for it – see I told you I was on a roll.

and finally…

…I've bit the bullet and proved all those sceptics wrong – you know who you are! – I've finally listed my quilt. Have a look at my link if your interested.

Now to start a new quilt… or perhaps finish one of my others.

I'm on a roll now, as soon as the weather changes I'm going to photograph my pink puffball… come on sun, shine on us.

I dont want to post without a picture but with nothing new to show I thought one of mother nature (this being the reason why I can't photograph any more quilts) would be appropriate… hold on tight to the umbrella Tink.

…nearly on Folksy!

…just not quite.

I have finally taken the photos of my yellow puffball, hooray. I've spent ages choosing the ones I like and adding my watermark only to find that they need to be square photos… boo!

Anyway, here are the uncropped versions.

I've been rumbled…

…my secrets out.

My friend worked out the reason that I don't quite finish a quilt is because that means I have to sell it.

Hands up – Guilty, as charged.

I love my quilts and I'd love to keep them all but I'm not allowed any more fabric unless I start to sell them. Boo!

So today I have made my first attempt to set up a shop on Folksy, I now have a headache and god knows how many emails from paypal and Folksy…however, my yellowpuff ball was finished yesterday and as soon as I have taken some good shots (which I'm off to do now) I should have it listed for sale by the end of the week. Hoorah!

Finished quilt below, finished binding it yesterday but only took a quick shot on my iphone.

Hope your having a good day.
